Installed Mods
We have a number of mods installed on our dedicated server. These are bundled in a single zip file linked here:
How to Install
- 1 – Download the ZIP file linked above.
- 2 – Open this zip file by double-clicking on it. This will show the zipped files in a new window. Click on the “Extract All” button in the top menu, and extract them to your Downloads folder. Check the box to “Show extracted files when complete”
You should now see the unzipped mod files. Leave this window open.
- 3 – Go to Steam and right click on Valheim to get a pop up menu, and select:
MANAGE > BROWSE LOCAL FILES
This will open a new window showing your Valheim Files:
- 4 – You should now have two windows open. One showing your Valheim files, and one showing the mod files. Select all of the mod files and drag-and-drop them into your Valheim folder.
NOTE: If you are copying files after an update to the mods or settings, you will be asked to overwrite files. Tell it “yes”: - 5 – Start Vlaheim normally. You will see a new pop up window that shows a bunch of text as the mods load. This is normal. Do not close this window:
- 6 – Once the game loads, you should see “Valheim Plus” on your title screen. Success!
- 7 – Under the “Join Game” tab, click on “Add Server” and enter the server IP Address and Port. You should then see the server listed as “Brothers Grimm Survival”.
Mod List
- Better Archery – Adds many features and changes to bow gameplay. Includes a new quiver system, retrievable arrows, better aim, and realistic arrow physics.
- Build Camera – Adds a build camera to make building easier, to simplify getting the right perspective so that you can see the snap point. You no longer need to build scaffolding so that you can get above (or to the side, below, etc.) the pieces you’re trying to place. Simply float the build camera where you need to go to see the snap points.
- Equipment & Quick Slots – Give equipped items their own dedicated inventory slots, plus three more hot-keyable quick slots.
- Equip Multiple Utility Items – Lets you equip multiple utility items at the same time.
- Hip Lantern – Craft a little lantern and place it on your hip to cast away the darkness.
- Instant Monster Loot Drop – Causes monsters to drop their loot and poof immediately.
- Jotunn – Jötunn (/ˈjɔːtʊn/, “giant”), the Valheim Library was created with the goal of making the lives of mod developers easier. It enables you to create mods for Valheim using an abstracted API so you can focus on the actual content creation.
- Max Dungeon Rooms – Raises the chance to spawn larger dungeons.
- Plant Everything – Allows your cultivator to plant berry bushes, thistle, dandelions, mushrooms, previously unavailable tree types, and other decorative flora. Includes many other miscellaneous features (see description). Highly configurable with localization support.
- Speedy Paths – Gives more purpose to paths. Increases player speed on paths and constructions. Reduces stamina consumed while sprinting on paths. Exposes optional modifiers for regular terrain in each biome. All values are tune-able.
- Traders Extended – Trader specific buy and sell items lists. Store UI with sell list, filter and repair button. Gamepad support. Trader use coins. Markups and discounts.
- Valheim Plus – A HarmonyX Mod aimed at improving the gameplay quality and quality of life of Valheim. The mod includes several different features including modifiers to in-game stats, offers players the ability to build, place, move objects with very high precision and a automation system for items and production buildings and allowing to craft from nearby chests
- Valheim Recycle – Valheim Recycle lets you disassemble crafted or upgraded items to get the base materials back via a new Recycle tab in the crafting UI.
- XPortal – XPortal lets you select a portal destination from a list of existing portals. No more tag pairing, and no more portal hubs! XPortal is a complete rewrite of the popular mod AnyPortal.
